Circa 1910, this harmonious and elegant Edwardian era brooch is embellished with natural old mine cut blue Sapphires, Diamonds and Ruby, all set in a shape of a three-leaf clover and its extended scroll design in naturalistic form.
There are 3 beautiful medium blue Sapphires (estimated total 0.3ct), three Diamonds (estimated total 0.24ct), and a pinkish red raspberry shade Ruby (estimated 0.12ct). They ranged from 2.7mmm to 2.9mm in diameter each. They are old mine cut, eye-clean, bright and of great presence!Old cut gemstones are well sought after, they were hand cut so each one is unique and this gives them that extra charm.
Clover is a symbol of good luck and was often incorporated into jewellery design in the Victorian and Edwardian era. It represents love, faith, hope and luck, a meaningful and sentimental choice for jewellery.
