Vintage 1970s 9CT Yellow Gold Bloodstone Mens Signet Ring

Circa 1970s, this substantial and bold signet ring features an oval shape natural Bloodstone tablet in secure bezel set. Crafted in solid 9CT Yellow Gold, the streamlined tapered shoulders have shiny polished surface, and lead into a plain flat band towards the back.

This Bloodstone has a beautiful medium green body-colour with mottled texture, and occasional tiny red spots that resemble spots of blood (hence the name Bloodstone). It measures 12mm height by 10mm wide. Bloodstone is a popular gemstone in jewellery in Victorian era, it symbolises courage and vitality.

When worn on the finger she measures a wide 15.3mm at the widest point, and leads into a comfortable D-shape plain band towards the back. The ring head is set close to the finger, the flush setting design makes this ring a wonderful engagement ring that blends into daily activities easily. 

Weighs a substantial 5.8gm, she has British hallmarks, marked CL&S, 375 (Gold Fineness Mark), Common Control Mark and Edinburgh.

This vintage ring is in excellent preowned condition, it is ready to be worn or to gift. The stone is held securely, some sign of wear including scratches on the Bloodstone commensurate with age. 

She is currently a finger size V(UK) or 10.75(US) but could be sized to fit you. Come with a new presentation box.
