Description
This hefty vintage ring showcases the beauty of jewellery from that era, a design based on geometric forms and inspired by urban architecture and the space age. Its bark finish along with geometric shape and seemingly haphazard arrangement of elements are reminiscent of the brutalist style that lasted from the 1950s through to the middle of the 1970s.
This fabulous ring features five rows in textured bark finish, a decoration that is typical of 1970s jewellery. Set in a random display across the top of the ring are 10 round brilliant cut Sapphire in four-claw set, each measures approximately 2.2mm in diameter. The band or shank of the ring has been fashioned from 9ct Yellow with smooth polish finish.
The inside of the band shows the hallmarks from the London Assay Office, and the sponsor mark S&K for Slade & Kempton and date letter B for 1976.
This fine jewellery collector’s item is in excellent preowned condition, the sapphires are held securely, with gift presentation packaging.
