Circa 1910s, this wonderful five-stone design engagement ring is set with graduated velvety blue Sapphires and colourless Diamonds. The ring head is made with 18ct white gold and the shank is made with 18ct yellow gold.
The diamonds are transitional cut and the sapphires are brilliant cut. These hand-cut gemstones rings are highly sought after, the stones tend to have a higher crown and a larger culet. The Sapphires range from 3.7mm to 2.5mm in diameter (estimated totalled 0.40ct). They have a highly desirable deep and velvety blue shade.
The adjacent Diamonds are bright, no naked eye visible inclusion. They They are approximately 2.8mm in diameter (estimated totalled 0.16ct).
Marked 18CT for 18ct gold and tests as such. Perfect for stacking or worn alone, ideal as an engagement ring or to commemorate a significant life event. In excellent condition, some minor chips and nibbles to the stones but only visible under magnification.
