Circa early Victorian era, this signet ring features a rectangle shape natural Bloodstone tablet in closed back secure bezel set. Crafted in solid 14CT Yellow Gold, the beautiful engraved tapered shoulders direct people’s attention to the centre Bloodstone and leads into a plain knife edge band towards the back.
The Bloodstone is set flush with the ring surface, making this ring versatile enough to blend in our everyday activities. It has a beautiful dark green body-colour with red patches that resemble spots of blood (hence the name Bloodstone). It measures 10mm height by 9mm wide. Bloodstone is a popular gemstone in jewellery in Victorian era, it symbolises courage and vitality.
There is no marking but tests as 14ct gold. This antique ring is in excellent condition, it is ready to be worn or to gift. The Bloodstone is held securely, it is in excellent condition, no chips or cracks. With gift presentation packaging.
